EMshield high-security zones meet the highest requirements for eavesdropping protection. Depending on requirements and design, the protection concept is based on electromagnetic shielding with a shielding attenuation of >80 dB or >100 dB from 10 MHz.
Access is via knife-edge contact doors (airlocks), optionally with electric motor drive. The rooms and cabins, which can be supplied turnkey on request, are installed worldwide by security-checked personnel.

One of the main areas of application for the ARCtec®-flex architectural room shielding system is currently in eaves-proof areas.
When electromagnetic room shielding can be easily installed, adapts to all room shapes, and does not restrict building physics, it is referred to as architectural or integrated room shielding. The main component of architectural room shielding is a special shielding material that, thanks to its low weight, eliminates the need for a complex support structure. It is breathable and can be finished with conventional floor and wall coverings. Installation is similar to that of normal wallpaper. For user acceptance, it is extremely important that such a room does not differ from conventional rooms. When installed by specialists, shielding attenuation of up to 80 dB (factor 10,000) is guaranteed in the frequency range from 30 MHz to 6.0 GHz. To protect spoken words as well, acoustic insulation and a special film are installed on the windows to protect against laser microphones.

Our ARCtec®-cube cabins made of sheet steel modules are used for the highest requirements in terms of safety and electromagnetic shielding attenuation. These can guarantee shielding attenuation values > 100 dB in the frequency range from 10 MHz to 10.0 GHz.
The architectural design options are significantly limited here. These cabins are implemented as a room-in-room system, and windows are only possible to a limited extent. The selection of doors, wall coverings, and floor coverings is limited. Airlock systems with automatic lifting thresholds for disabled access are available in this system. These systems are used in particular in high-security zones in the public sector. In order to protect spoken words, acoustic insulation and a special film are also installed on the windows to protect against laser microphones.
